From October to May we present script-in-hand readings by members of our own Playwrights' Unit as well as new plays by Central New York area writers. Readings are held at the Redhouse multi-arts facility in Armory Square, 201 South West Street. (For directions, see our "Performances" page.)
We
meet monthly to read and discuss members' scripts-in-progress.
We
are always on the lookout for new playwrights interested in developing
their craft.
MISSION STATEMENT: Armory Square Playhouse is a playwrights collective organization which recognizes that the playwright's voice reflects the values and cultural richness of the community. As such, our mission is to encourage and foster the art of play writing and to explore opportunities for the development and production of new plays, especially those by area writers, while at the same time developing an audience in Central New York for new plays. ARMORY SQUARE PLAYHOUSE is a charter member of the Arts and Culture Leadership Alliance of Central New York. |
